To solve this issue Natural Energia believes in the increase of the participation of three types of clean energy in the global energy mix: wind, solar and natural gas power plants.

Natural Energia acknowledges as clean energy sources those that cause the least impact to the surrounding environment. The wind energy demands great extensions of land, but it occupies less than 5-7% of the land, allowing its social use for farming besides contributing to a zero-carbon rate emission. The photovoltaic energy can be installed in many places, from urban sites (rooftops of houses and buildings, parking lots, for example) to farms in the country side. Like wind power, solar one has zero-carbon emission level. Thus wind and solar energy are intermittent, natural gas power plants figure as a clean alternative to assure the energy availability. Unlike other types of power plants which are powered by fossil fuels, natural gas plants allow an easy and quick control over power generation with very low carbon emission levels. Besides, compared with great hydroelectric plants, that need huge flooded areas to its reservoirs, natural gas plants use little portions of land and can be installed near large load centers and the transmission grid connection points, optimizing the whole infrastructure required.
